How we calculate your NetWatcher scores

NetWatcher has 2 scores it applies to an organization:

Cyber Health Score - CHS

  • This score helps you understand how bad is your organization compromised today.

Cyber Promiscuity Score(TM) - CPS

  • This score helps you understand how much the activity going on in your organization today expose you to future compromise.

The goal with splitting out the CPS score is to help you see the indicators of compromise such as employees sending data over the internet in the clear or running vulnerable/risky software.   If you address the precursors of compromise then you will be less susceptible to exploits and attacks.

You will see in the customer portal dashboard widgets that apply to both scores.

You will also see that each Alarm now has a severity for both Severity and Promiscuity:

The Variables that drive the Cyber Promiscuity Score are:

  • Length of time alarms are open
  • Percent of corporate assets with open alarms
  • Promiscuity Rating of the alarms

The Variables that drive the Cyber Health Score are:

  • Length of time alarms are open
  • Percent of corporate assets with open alarms
  • Severity rating of the alarms
  • The Promiscuity Score

You can also see the CPS and CHS scores per asset running the NetAgent within your organization:
